Support FAQ

Use Dial-Up Networking to access the internet via modem, such as a dial up to a local Internet Service Provider.
Select your dial up connection from the drop-down list. In order to automate the dialing and login process to reconnect
if you are disconnected in the middle of a download, enter the username and password for your account.
If AmiPic Dial-Up Connections list is empty you should first create a new connection. Use Windows "Internet
Connection Wizard" or "Make a new connection" dialogs to create a new connection to your ISP.
When new connection is created right-click on it, select connection properties and fine tune it as necessary.
Then select this connection in AmiPic and enter the username and password.
Do not use Dial-Up Networking if you have a dedicated connection to the internet such as a local area network connection (LAN) or
if you like another program to manage your Internet connection.

If directory you specified is not available (moved, deleted, protected or not mounted) AmiPic reverts to its default download directory.
For example, you may choose directory located on virtual encrypted drive (see BestCript software description on http://www.jetico.com) and forgot to mount this drive.

a) If AmiPic cannot establish dial-up connection because of hardware failure, invalid login/password, dead line or other unrecoverable error it displays the error code in status bar and stops connecting attempts.
Solution: Make sure that the valid dial-up connection is selected from drop-down list on Connection tab (if list is empty make a new connection and then select it) and login/password for this connection are typed correctly.
After creating a new connection or moving computer to another location (if you connect using mobile phone) make sure that it works. Otherwise you may need to re-configure your computer, modem or connection settings.
b) If program database file called "MyDatabase.db" becomes corrupted due to system crash or other reason AmiPic may report an error and exit on start-up.
Solution: Manually delete the corrupted file and restart AmiPic. It should then work normally.

AmiPic is automatically removed from your hard drive during uninstall (including the registry keys). However, program database
and some other files are not deleted to avoid loss of important data.
You can manually delete the program folder after uninstall if you do not need these files.
